What You Get from a School That Focuses on the Work
The case for choosing coursework built around operational AI engineering rather than theory-first surveys.
Back to HomeSix reasons engineers choose Modelyn
Each of these reflects a deliberate choice about how we build and deliver our programs.
Operational from the Start
Our programs begin with the work that happens before and after model training — pipelines, deployment and maintenance — because that's where most engineering time goes.
Ordered Curriculum
Tracks follow a specific sequence. You build knowledge in layers rather than jumping between topics, which reduces the time spent re-reading earlier material.
Kept Current
AI tooling changes quickly. We review and update course content each quarter so the tools and methods you learn about reflect what's actually in use.
Mentor Access in Portfolio Track
The portfolio program pairs you with a mentor who has direct experience in the area you're learning. Sessions focus on your actual work, not generic advice.
Honest Scope
Every program page says clearly what you'll cover, what's expected of you before you start, and what the program does not include. No surprises after enrolling.
Straightforward Pricing
All three programs are priced in Thai Baht with no add-on fees or subscription tiers. You pay once per track and access the full content for the duration.
A closer look at each advantage
Instructors with operational backgrounds
The people who built the Modelyn curriculum spent years in data and AI engineering roles before they started teaching. The Data Engineering track was written by someone who built pipelines professionally. The MLOps content comes from someone who deployed and maintained models in production. This matters because it affects which details get emphasized and which gaps get addressed.
General AI education often skips the production side because it's less photogenic than model training. We don't skip it — it's the focus.
Current tools, not legacy examples
The AI and data engineering ecosystem evolves fast. Exercises in our programs use tooling that is actively maintained and in production use. When a major tool shifts significantly, we update the relevant modules rather than leaving outdated instructions in place.
Our quarterly review process means the version of a library shown in an exercise is unlikely to be three years behind the current release.
A way to reach someone when you're stuck
All programs include a support channel for questions about course content. In the Mentorship & Portfolio Program, you also have scheduled sessions with a mentor who reviews your actual work and gives specific feedback rather than pointing you back to the materials.
We're a small school, which means response times tend to be faster than platforms with thousands of concurrent learners and automated support systems.
Pricing that reflects the regional context
Our programs are priced in Thai Baht for the regional learner base we serve. The Data Engineering track at ฿3,500 and the MLOps track at ฿9,100 represent focused, specific programs rather than broad courses that charge for content you won't need.
The Mentorship & Portfolio Program at ฿12,250 includes the mentor sessions and portfolio review process, which makes it a different kind of commitment than self-paced coursework alone.
Tangible work at the end of each track
Each program produces something you can inspect and build on. Completing the Data Engineering track means you've run working pipeline examples. The MLOps track leaves you with deployment configurations you've tested yourself. The portfolio program produces a set of finished projects with documented decisions behind them.
We don't make claims about what happens after you complete a program. What we can say is that completing the work gives you something concrete to show and discuss.
How we differ from typical options
A straightforward comparison without exaggerating what we offer or dismissing what others do.
| Feature | Typical Broad Platform | Modelyn |
|---|---|---|
| Content focus | Wide survey of ML topics | Data engineering & MLOps specifically |
| Content updates | Quarterly review | |
| Instructor background | Varies widely | Operational practitioners |
| Mentor access | Usually extra or absent | Included in portfolio track |
| Pricing clarity | Subscriptions and upsells | Fixed price per program |
| Thai Baht pricing | Yes |
Specific things we do differently
We only teach what our instructors have done
Course content isn't assembled from research papers or third-party references. The data engineering and MLOps tracks are written by people who have built these systems in working environments.
Exercises produce runnable outputs, not static notes
Every module has a hands-on exercise that produces something you can run and inspect. You don't finish a section having only read about what the code does.
The portfolio program involves real feedback, not automated scoring
Mentor sessions in the portfolio track involve a human reviewing your actual project work and giving specific, reasoned feedback rather than running it through a rubric.
Regional pricing without currency conversion friction
All programs are priced in Thai Baht from the start. Learners in Thailand pay in their local currency without needing to convert USD or EUR prices and absorb exchange rate uncertainty.
